California NORML Conference 2011 legalization of marijuana

Los Angeles Times on January 30 published an article by John Hoeffel, which focuses on a National Organization on January 29 for the Reform of Marijuana Law (NORML) held in Berkley, billed by some as a top “legalization.” Organized by California NORML chapter, the conference was to launch a debate on the state election of 2012 and the initiative to legalize the recreational use of marijuana in California. Goal of NORML at this conference was to obtain cannabis growers, the legalization of disgruntled activists, medical clinics and lawyers marijuana in California.

Culture is said to all the attitudes, values, goals and practices that characterizes an institution, organization or group. The cultivation of marijuana legal in California in 2011 revolves around the medical marijuana industry. Medical marijuana has become a reality in the Golden State in 1996 and the legal marijuana industry has grown and evolved over the past 15 years. Livelihoods have been grown all aspects of business involvement in marijuana legal. An industry that has proven very profitable from the late 20th century

Proposition 19 in November 2010

not by a margin of 54-46%. A widely accepted belief on this is partly due to the lack of movement to get the support of the producers, owners of the defense lawyers and dispencery specializing in the law on cannabis. Not only about the cause of Proposition 19, which in many cases allied with the opposition. Infuential powerful sects and the cultivation of cannabis in California that he felt, and rightly so many say that the wording of the resolution was a closed process that did not try to include them. The fact that this was the first California NORML conference was in a decade, speaks of the need orgainzations California to try to get the stripped ends of cannabis cultivation in the state to all pull in the same direction. “We knew we had a lot of discontent,” said Dale Gieringer, director of California organized the conference. “Many people feel excluded because the wording of the proposal 19 was very close.” Dale Sky Jones, spokesman for the Proposition 19 campaign, told the crowd at David Brower Center near the University of Cal-Berkeley, “Truly, this is a plotting exercise. We are here to listen. This is the process of construction. “

The fact of the matter is that in some cases, the excellent parts of the voice at the conference, openly joined the opposition to support the initiative of the 2010 recreational marijuana. Many of these groups felt 19 that the proposal does not include them, speak for them, protect their market share in the future of the industry and certainly not looking for culture already established in California to legalize marijuana. The question of how they were not included in the wording of the initiative, obviously inspired by the feeling of many who will not be included in what order would the new state of the industry.

The change of power that could make leisure market share of marijuana allowed the industry a legitimate dread. Dread, doubt and skepticism widespread than can and should be some of the largest supporters of the movement of recreational marijuana. dread that these same people become really foes of Proposition 19. The freedom to use marijuana for recreational purposes, without prosecution in California is not the concern of these groups, which marked their livelihoods on legal issues and avenues of cannabis. needs of individuals and groups is to hold out and possibly increase its market share with the passage of recreational marijuana. The fact that Proposition 19 will not deliver any of the two, no doubt, the initiative to place the spotlight marijuana legal in California proletariat, ie, clinics and producers are working-class culture of cannabis.

The classic 1983 film “Risky Business,” contains a scene between Tom Cruise’s character, a high school student who is in like and manipulated by a prostitute and her boss, the aptly named Guido The murderer thug. Joel trying to intimidate and give half of a class of business advice adolescents uppper precious Guido jokes Joel “In a sluggish economy, never f * ck with the livelihood of another man.” Usher t recent NORML convention on the principle of status quo of medical marijuana, which includes the concept of recreational marijuana law will not affect your cash flow? Time will tell, but this remains a weak economy (if not always) and the dream of legal recreational marijuana has no chance of becoming reality until the reign pimps marijuana legal in California believe that their livelihood will not be compromised or its place in the cultivation of marijuana legal usurped.

Tips on how to overcome obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is really a situation that could have profound effects on patients. Perhaps to know that someone with OCD, a family member or friend, a young person or gathered from other sources, television, magazine articles, books, etc..

Whatever the source of understanding and information that should be obvious that this situation with its rituals and behaviors “weird” is what makes individuals and households considerably the pressure and the Anxiety

What exactly is OCD? A definition is: “The obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is usually a mental disorder characterized by intrusive thoughts that generate anxiety, repetitive behaviors to reduce anxiety, or combinations of these thoughts obsessions) and behaviors ( compulsions) .. .. “

Ie,” People with OCD are concerned about intrusive thoughts, images, impulses, or doubts Usually, they are also accompanied by compulsions exactly where the person be. do or believe something to feel better, or to prevent terrible things from happening /> The obsessive thoughts experienced by OCD victim lead to compulsive actions, which include cleaning, checking, counting, hoarding. A person is trapped in a pattern of repetitive thoughts and behaviors that are senseless and painful, but extremely hard leaving

Most people with the fall of obsessive-compulsive disorder in the one of the following: ..

1) washers are worried of contamination, Compulsions usually have cleaning or hand washing.
2) Checkers repeatedly check things (oven off, locked doors, etc..) associated with harm or danger.
3) The skeptics and sinners are worried that if everything is not the best or simply convenient to do something terrible will happen or will be punished.
4) Counters and arrangers are obsessed with order and symmetry. They may have specific superstitions about numbers, colors, or arrangements.
5) dread that some hoarders something terrible will happen if throw anything. compulsively collect things that do not need or use.

As you can imagine from all these categories with OCD can be a very limiting situation. With obsessive-compulsive thoughts and behaviors cause fantastic distress, it takes a long time, and interfere with the daily routine of the victim, work or relationships.

There is a wide range of therapies and remedies available to people who suffer from OCD medication, ‘talk’, and group therapy to therapy that homeopathy or option acupincture. But it is not useful for all men and women all the time and generally do not have to “root cauuse” of the disease.

For me, it is generally vital to listen to people who have “the voice of experience” offer, ie someone who has suffered with the situation and through it. One man is someone who wrote a book with details of its history of twenty years COT childhood through his own research produces ten years if a cure.

G-20 dominated by an overwhelming force: The G-4

“The excellent news is that the G-20 represents 85 percent of world production. The terrible news is that it works more like the G2 with the superpower (the U.S.) and the next superpower (the China) dominate the agenda “(published in the company blog John Defterios CNN).

In fact, the only dominant force in the G-20 is the G4 – The Gang of Four (Want It might happen, you will lose ..?). This band is a fatal disease specialist at the thought of ??bullying, not only each man per day, woman and child – rich or poor -. but top CEOs and government leaders

We thank you for the 24 / 7. And if we know what we are and what we do on Earth, we will remain victims of the band. Who we are is vital, so let’s question ourselves this question: If you place your finger in the sauce of tomatoes, tomato sauce finger

What happens if you paste in the cream Chocolate ? No, the finger is not the chocolate cream, tomato sauce, or. No matter where you stick now will a finger sticky fingers. No?

Now, if that finger was an entity, or soul, and a data field or crop in China? This entity would be Chinese?
And if that entity has chose to enter another field of data made hamburgers, Coca-Cola, baseball, etc. and swam for the rest of his life in the vast ocean of data in the States United? Could it be the American institution?

Again, no. Burgers, Coca-Cola, baseball, rice, meatballs, roasted duck, are all data recorded on the stock of information or the subconscious of the entity, and look like this: 001101010111100010. Therefore, a soul entering a data field are not the data. Medical studies have shown that the data stored in the mind can be completely eliminated by lesions of the brain or amnesia, but the entity or person who is still working.

So if this entity is – which is the beep that

we are creatures with only one pair of legs, eyes, ears, hands and feet of duck through 001101010111100010 fields? We are not French, American, African or Chinese – even though we live in China, are engaged in rice and meatballs, and speak fluent Mandarin So the question is again: Who the beep that

We believe they are Jews, Arabs, blacks, whites, Hispanics, Russians, Irish, Greeks, Georgians? , English, Spanish, Mongolian, Turkish, or a hundred other different names, such as information exchange. In fact, there are only two types of information that we all carry with us in our bags – information that works, and information that does not work

Look at this way: if a black cat. cat white, brown or cat, the cat catches the mouse must be the cat that must be maintained throughout. Therefore, the maintenance of belief systems that work for you and make you feel excellent. Belief systems that make dread, rage, resentment, frustration, and vulnerability should be removed. If everyone did this, we would have a better team human subconscious to work.

If you know that all philosophies, cultures and perceptions are nothing more than a series of 001101010111100010s, we found freedom. Now, how we use this freedom to make harmony and a better future?

John I quoted the first paragraph, finished his message with these words: “It is so vital to the collective voice of the group not to be overwhelmed by the problems of G2.” But, I maintain that neither the subjects of G2 or G-20 that cause problems, but it is the G-4 is at the root of all evil.

If the representatives of the G-20 are not aware that G4 peak dominates all those attending will be in serious friction and discord in the coming years. If you do not fight the tape, instead of presenting, at each vertex

In fact, A major concern must be to win the war against this murderous band of four and their allies – the greatest threat to this world. You must be a war against dread, greed, ignorance and insecurity . And a war for a better future.

Without the commitment and courage of the world leaders to address the real culprits, the world will always be suspicious, uncertain and divided. And the top, no matter how huge or small can not solve our problems and lead to more pleased, citizens of this planet healthy, the less we know what really govern us.

Why are we forced to accumulate wealth or covet so much? Even Bill Gates and Warren Buffet realized it was wiser to give half of their wealth away. But, the G4 – made from unconscious thoughts that you want … You can not … What will happen? You will lose … is too dominant.

If this world is still governed by it, which probably goes to the wall. As we enter the third millennium, we find evidence of the rarity of natural resources.

Consider, for example, the introduction in the preface to a recent report by the Dutch government: “The scarcity of natural resources seems to lead to greater mutual distrust and protectionism in the world , the context of a growing world population, a globalized economy and unbalanced dependencies. This is in contradiction with the need for greater mutual trust, increased cooperation and global agreements to ensure that the world is a sustainable use of natural resources in the future. “

is still a” need “and” You will lose, “that makes us want more and to be greedy. It is a “What will happen?” anxiety caused by the many millions. And “You can not,” what makes us frustrated and helpless. The combined forces of the subconscious G4 can trigger a currency war, wars between nations, even real, as evidenced by past history.

Is not it time to disarm the capabilities of the band? A rich person is one who has enough, the saying goes. If we do not realize this, the G20 and we seem doomed to be desperately poor, and again suffer from the tyranny of the G4, which has long ruled the world.

Everest: a thrilling adventure

Mount Everest is considered the highest mountain on Earth. The height of the first advertising well-known Mount Everest was established by the Fantastic Trigonometric Survey of India. It was in 1856 with an estimated height of about 29,002 feet or 8840 meters.

Everest is considered the highest mountain on Earth. Measured by the height of its summit above the sea is really around 29,029 feet or 8848 meters. Apart from this, Mount Everest is also indicated as part of the acclaimed high-end along the East Asia and the Himalayas, located within the borders of Tibet in China and Sagarmatha Zone in Nepal .

On the other hand, the height of the first publication of the well-known Mount Everest was established by the Fantastic Trigonometric Survey of India. It was in 1856 with an estimated height of about 29,002 feet or 8840 meters. It is in the fact that Everest was recognized as “Peak XV” at that time. Only in the year 1865 when it was given its official name in English “Mount Everest”. This was implemented by the Royal Society called geographical, on the recommendation of the Survey of British India at that time, Andrew Waugh. Since, during the time that Tibet and Nepal were closed to foreigners, Andrew Waugh was not able to have a local name proposed. It is that the Tibetans have used the name “Chomolungma” for centuries now.

In addition, during the latter part of 2007 or the climbing season, climbing to the summit, it was reported that 3679 was approximately about 2436 people. For this reason, there were reports of no more than 210 deaths on Mount Everest. In fact, conditions were so hard most of the bodies were already as it is, and these bodies are often visible from standard climbing routes.

The climbers of Everest was new from the sport. These people have always paid guides to help them reach the top. These surges of mountaineers in the region are in fact a vital source of income from tourism in Nepal. This is in addition to the requirement that the government has all climbers pay candidates more or less 000 euros per person for approval.

Therefore, the Everest has areas that are included in the list of dead zones. This is due to its altitude exceeds 8000 meters or 26,246 feet. It is very hard to really survive in these areas. The temperature can drop Super low levels, causing the freezing of any part of the body is exposed to air. As the temperature is very low, snow is also frozen in some areas where you can die and fall into these places. Another potential threat is strong winds />
In addition, the summit of Everest, the air pressure is really called the third part of the pressure at sea level. This means that there is only one third of breathing oxygen at sea level. In May 2007, Caudwell Xtreme Everest some undertook a study on the levels of oxygen in the blood of a person in extreme altitude. For this medical study, more than 200 volunteer climbers climbed towards the Everest base camp to undergo medical tests on the levels of oxygen in the blood in your body. Another team, a smaller group, also tested by going up br <. />
Their results were remarkable. Even at base camp, the low level of oxygen was observed to have a direct impact on all levels of oxygen saturation in the blood. The percentage normal sea level is 98% to 99%, but at the base camp, the percentage dropped to about 85% to 87%. Blood samples were collected Even the crown area of ??the oxygen has low levels of super. With this, the respiratory rate increased significantly from 20 to 30 beats per minute or breaths per minute. Therefore, you can even go quicker than 80 to 90 beats per minute or breaths per minute. Exhaustion experienced climbers simply capture amplitude. In conclusion, fatigue, lack of oxygen, extreme cold, and the real danger to climb Mount Everest, are factors that can contribute to the number of deaths on the mountain.

Reports of climbers die on Mount Everest are often left behind. Records show that about 150 bodies were never recovered. In fact, when climbing the mountain, the bodies are highly visible, even from standard routes.

Another discovery on Mount Everest is that amidst the high area, lightning does not plague. Even the system of lightning detection at NASA was unable to obtain a record of episodes of lightning in the mountains of Tibet, from 7000 feet or 2000 meters or more, only along the fascinating Tibet.

Moreover, in the expeditions to Everest, climbers use oxygen tanks and masks when they are above 26,246 feet or 8000 meters. Although in reality you can climb Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen transport, which increases the potential risk to the climber. This is justified because anyone that low levels of oxygen in the experiment can not reckon clearly. In addition, low temperatures, weather and very steep slope of Mount Everest for quick and accurate choice making.

Therefore, the use of bottled oxygen while climbing Mount Everest has become controversial. But, much evidence of the use of this. Even the well-known George Mallory was quoted as saying that its use is “unsportsmanlike.” She later took her back when she realized it was very hard to scale the summit without having one. He therefore used a during its ascent. This was also very useful during the initial successful summit Hillary and Tenzing in 1953. After that, bottled oxygen has become a necessity for successful climbs to Everest standard. The only problem, according to the book by Jon Krauker flame in the air, that advertising is the use of bottled oxygen on Everest, climbers are also qualified to really try and try the top of the mountain. For Krauker, this can lead to perilous situations and even death.

Thus, disaster on May 11, 1996, when 33 climbers hit tried to climb Mount Everest and leaving bottlenecks at Hillary Step. The delay of several other climbers, unable to go with the delivery time 14:00. This made the proposal to ban the use of bottled oxygen while climbing Mount Everest and should only be used for serious emergencies. This will reduce the growth of pollution on Mount Everest and this will keep skilled climbers attempt to climb the mountain. Apart from that, the catastrophe of 1996 have place the question to have a guide for the use of bottled oxygen as well. This is because Mount Everest many guides do not use bottled oxygen. They see it as a “fake sense of security.” The debate on this issue is the inability of guides to help their clients get without using bottled oxygen.

Finally, another problem in the ascent of Mount Everest, are reports of life-threatening thefts to climbers. The flights were climbers supply reservoirs. An example is an incident of the feast of a certain David Sharp, where the first Brazilian climber, Vitor Negrete died while descending from Mount Everest. Speculation suggests that the supplies stolen from his “high-altitude camp” contributed to this fatality
Therefore, Mount Everest is a spectacular mountain. For climbers, it is an ultimate goal to raise and lower it. For the rest of the world, is a remarkable masterpiece of nature that must be fed and cared for.

Doubts raised for UN progress at disease summit

Everyone knows what it would take to curb the global rise of chronic illnesses like heart disease, certain cancers and diabetes, but getting nations and their citizens to make the essential changes is more than daunting.

This week marks the first time the United Nations will tackle chronic diseases in a special summit in New York City, but it’s uncertain what the meeting will accomplish. There are no concrete targets and even if there were, there would be no teeth to enforce them. There’s no guarantee of money either.

On Sunday, the World Health Organization listed 14 solutions it says could save tens of millions of people. The price tag for all developing countries to adopt these measures is .4 billion every year — a figure hard to raise amid a financial crisis.

Noninfectious diseases kill about 36 million people every year, mostly in poor countries. In every region except Africa, these diseases kill more people than the ones that spread like AIDS and tuberculosis. But WHO projects that by 2030, chronic diseases will overpower the other ailments, including AIDS, even in Africa.

The draft document for the U.N. meeting recognizes “prevention must be the cornerstone of the global response.”

Yet there are no firm commitments to cut the number of deaths from chronic diseases or promises to bankroll efforts to combat the problem.

Ann Keeling, chair of the Non-Communicable Diseases Alliance, said real progress isn’t possible without a specific goal.

“If you don’t have a target, you don’t know where you’re going or whether or not you’re going to get there,” she said. Keeling said officials should set an overall goal, like reducing the number of preventable deaths by 25 percent by 2025.

Previous efforts for infectious diseases led to specific strategies, like the campaign to place 3 million people on AIDS drugs by 2005 or the malaria strategy to get bed nets to everyone who needs them by 2015.

]]>

In contrast, the U.N. chronic diseases document simply calls for options to be submitted by the end of 2012 and says another meeting will be held in 2014 to assess progress.

Still, all of the WHO recommendations are cheap, with an average cost of under per person per strategy. They include things like:

• Raising taxes on tobacco and alcohol.

• Convincing food manufacturers and consumers to cut back on salt.

• Promoting public awareness about excellent diet and exercise habits.

• Providing generic drugs for people with diabetes and those at risk of heart attacks and strokes.

• Screening and early treatment of precancerous lesions to prevent cervical cancer

• Rolling out hepatitis B immunization to prevent liver cancer.

“Compared to some of the most cost-effective interventions in health like vaccines, these are a very excellent buy,” said Dan Chisholm, a WHO expert on the issue. He emphasized the agency’s role was only to draw up suggestions. “We can’t force countries to do anything.”

Even in rich countries, there hasn’t been much appetite to make major policy changes to fight chronic diseases. Europe has the world’s highest level of alcohol problems, yet in the wine-producing countries of Italy, Portugal and Spain, there is no tax on wine. In the U.K., health experts rail about the dangers of binge drinking and lament rising alcohol-related cirrhosis rates, but the government has so far refused to limit alcohol sales or hike taxes.

Fighting flab — obesity raises the risk for most chronic diseases — has been no simpler. British chef Jamie Oliver recently called on the U.N. summit to make obesity a global human rights issue. Yet when Oliver introduced healthy lunches in a handful of British schools several years ago, children fought back by boycotting the cafeterias. Some parents even shoved hamburgers, pizza and french fries to hungry children through school yard fences.

Martin McKee, a public health expert at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, said poor countries are even less willing to take on the alcohol, food and tobacco industries. “Developing countries are heavily lobbied by industry and often represent the corporate interest, not what’s best for their citizens,” he said.

In parts of Asia, the Middle East and eastern Europe, tobacco giants including Philip Morris have worked to weaken tobacco legislation and offered to write countries’ tax codes.

Last week, more than 140 health groups called on the U.N. to set guidelines to manage potential conflicts of interest in their dealings with the food and beverage industry. “Without such safeguards, policies and recommendations will invariably be weakened to suit the interests of powerful corporations,” the coalition said in a letter to the medical journal, Lancet.

Many countries are also unwilling to turn into nanny states that closely monitor their citizens’ eating, drinking and exercise. “Addressing (chronic diseases) requires behavior change and most countries are very terrible at this because it’s so complicated,” said Sophie Harman, a global health expert at City University in London.

She said most countries would likely voice support for WHO’s chronic diseases solutions but she wasn’t convinced much more would be done. “All countries say they need to tackle these issues,” she said. “But the implementation is hard and then all you’re left with is the rhetoric.”

Summit Foundation announces 0,000 in grants

At its December Board of Trustees meeting, The Summit Foundation Board of Trustees allocated 0,138 in grant awards to 42 nonprofit agencies providing services in Summit, Grand, Park, and Lake Counties.

“The Foundation is pleased to partner with these nonprofit organizations that provide vital services and improve the quality of life in Summit County and our neighboring communities,” said Jan Coles, Chair of The Summit Foundation Grants Committee. “In recognition of the challenges many families are facing in this hard economy, in this grant cycle, the Committee emphasized support for agencies that provide for the basic needs of individuals and families.”

The Summit Foundation awards grants in June and December. With these recent distributions, a total of 1,367 was awarded to 85 nonprofit agencies by The Foundation in 2009. In addition, 4,378 in college scholarships was awarded this year to graduating high school seniors and college freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors.

“The Summit Foundation is proud to be able to make these grants in this challenging economic environment,” noted Cary Cooper, President of Board of Trustees of The Summit Foundation. “This distribution is significant in thanks to the generous support we receive from all of our donors.”

New to the grant program this fall, The Summit Foundation specifically partnered with Vail Resorts on grants totaling 7,510 to four nonprofit organizations, the Family and Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC), Summit Community Care Clinic, Early Childhood Options and Summit Prevention Alliance.

Many of these grant awards are made possible by the generous contributions made by our local ski resorts through their annual donation of transferable ski passes (medallions) which result in over 0,000 in contributions to The Foundation each year,” said Cooper. “This Fall, The Summit Foundation worked with Vail Resorts to establish a more official program to recognize their commitment to The Summit Foundation and to this community.”

The funding was allocated in six major categories. 53 percent of the funds awarded went to 14 health and human service agencies that received 3,000. Nine organizations offering educational programs and services received ,968. Eight art and culture organizations received a total of ,350. Three environmental organizations received a combined total of ,000. ,500 was awarded to four nonprofit sports and recreation organizations. In addition, The Foundation presented ,320 to three nonprofit organizations responsible for programs or projects in Grand, Park and Lake Counties. “The Summit County and neighboring community nonprofit agencies also need to be recognized for their tremendous efforts in providing programs and services to all sectors of our community,” notes Lee Zimmerman, Executive Director.

The Summit Foundation is a community, public foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents and guests of Summit County and neighboring communities. Since it started making grants in 1986, The Foundation has awarded .6 million in grants and scholarships. The cornerstone for The Foundation’s fundraising efforts is a transferable ski pass provided by Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, Breckenridge Ski Resort, Copper Mountain Resort, Keystone Resort, Winter Park and Vail and Beaver Creek Resorts.
